Hongkong 15th October, 1895.

In connection with previous correspondence regarding a

site at North Point for the storage of Petroleum in bulk, we Dow

beg to forward you a copy of our Engineers' report to-gether

with an amended plan on which is shewn a new site for the Tanks

marked H. K. L..

Should the Colonial Government have no objection to grant-

-ing this site for the purpose, we trust you will use your best

endeavours to obtain the sanction of the Military Authorities

in London to allowing the erection of overground tanks on this

site.

We may mention that in order to save time our Engineers

have been in communication with the Local Military Authorities

and have ascertained from them that this matter cannot be decided

locally but must go to London and as with the former application
